Summer Etsy Finds

Oh Etsy, I love you. My relationship with the site started about 8 years ago when my husband and I moved into our first home in Bedford, NY. Like most first time home buyers we had a little amount of furniture with a little budget and a lot of rooms to fill. We needed everything including bedroom, dining room, living room furniture - you name it we needed it. I think the only items we moved in with were a bed, kitchen table and a couch. I had a lot of work to do, so I turned to Etsy and never looked back.
I often find that people are surprised when I tell them they can buy furniture on their site. Many people know Etsy for their vintage and craft items, but there’s oh so much more. I literally furnished our entire Bedford home through their shops (all living room chairs and coffee tables, the dining room with table, chairs, sideboard, all bedroom furniture etc). The best part they were all well made unique pieces at fabulous prices.
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I find some of the big brand sites to be overpriced and don’t even get me started on their shipping fees and estimated arrival times. I’ve always found Etsy shops shipping fees to be reasonable (some even free), just make sure to message the seller prior to order. Most of the time there is little to no wait time as a lot of these pieces are ready to ship, obviously longer if you choose custom or made to order.
Then of course there are all of the wonderful finds that Etsy is more commonly known for like vintage and antique trinkets, art, and decor. Below you’ll find a mix of decor items along with some furniture.
One of the best parts for me is supporting small businesses. These shops always offer unique items that can be hard to find elsewhere. Some of my all time favorite shops are featured below. I always love finding that fun statement piece that everyone asks were you found it and not to mention getting it for a great price.
Happy shopping!
